Our product, Youngs Lift, was prominently featured in an article published in the Plastic Surgery April 2019 issue of Japan's Plastic Surgery magazine. The special feature, authored by Maki Inukai and Yuji Nakanishi, highlights the use of a new thread lift technique, Youngs Lift® (Y.JACOBS MEDICAL, Korea), in facelift procedures.
In recent years, less invasive treatments like thread lifts have gained popularity as alternatives to more invasive procedures such as total SMAS lifts. The article discusses the increasing acceptance of thread lifts among patients seeking facial rejuvenation. Youngs Lift®, developed in South Korea, is described as a 2-0 polydioxanone (PDO) thread with an absorbable cone and hub at the tip, designed to lift sagging facial tissues effectively.
One of the key features of Youngs Lift® is its ability to be inserted without the need for skin incisions, thanks to a dedicated device similar to Surflo. This allows for precise placement of the anchor at the planned fixation site, eliminating the need for incisions in the temporal region and enabling targeted lifting of the midface. The article emphasizes the safety and efficacy of Youngs Lift®, which has received approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) in 2014, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2016, and the CE mark in Europe.
